Semantic Visions’ Global Risk Early Warning System provides situational awareness of emerging threats, trends, and events on a global scale, delivering updated risk models every 10 minutes. Powered by our proprietary military-grade OSINT system, Global Risk EWS automatically detects unknown events as they emerge across a wide spectrum of threats (such as geopolitical, military, security, cybersecurity, industrial, natural, and health), allowing customers to detect, manage, mitigate, and avoid risk in real-time.
How it works
Phase 1
Global Risk EWS solves the problem that conventional search engines struggle with: searching for the unknown. By querying Semantic Visions’ database of billions of online news articles from 900,000 openly available sources across 12 major world languages, Global Risk EWS leverages the “long tail” of the internet to shed light on the darkest corners of the digital landscape.
Phase 2
With this immense dataset, Global Risk EWS then uses a proprietary AI solution based on advanced semantic analysis (ASA) and big data semantics (BDS) to derive meaning and actionable intelligence. ASA generates granular and precise metadata based on a cross-language principle, while BDS synthesizes scenarios from entities (geolocation, events, sentiment, and context). These scenarios can encompass multiple events and are often triggered by signals coming from multiple articles and languages. The result: global risks identified early.
