The Czech Republic had long planned expanding its nuclear capacity and it finally materialized on March 13, 2022, when the company ČEZ (a majority state-owned Czech energy company) announced a tender to build two new reactors in the NPP (Nuclear Power Plant) Dukovany. The final decision is expected in 2024.
